Further to these policies the following local policies/exceptions will be applicable:

  • TU representative invited to sit on appeal panels.
  • MRC notice periods retained – subject to review.
  • Two days paid leave for partners to attend antenatal appointments and five days paid leave for pre adoption formalities. The zero qualification period for Occupational Maternity, Adoptive and Shared Parental pay will be implemented shortly in the RCUK policy.  This will be maintained in the MRC in the meantime.
  • Special leave kept at 8 days per year.
